From as young as I can remember, I found myself hitting pots and pans creating rhythms wherever and whenever I could. At age 9 I finally sat down in front of my first drum kit. I was always looking for inspiration and trying to imitate my favourite drummers, from Buddy Rich to Travis Barker. By age 12, I was gigging up and down the country.
Jon first started playing guitar at the age of 10, studying both classical and electric throughout his formative years and in 1998 was a finalist in Guitarist magazine’s “Young Guitarist of the Year”.

“I am a jazz nerd who loves all music!” UK pianist Sam Dolling has performed nationwide with major artists in clubs, venues and festivals. Notable artists Sam has played with and supported are Nile Rodgers & Chic (The Piece Hall, Halifax) a UK tour with Emeli Sande, and regular appearances with rising star August Charles.
From the age of 3 my parents knew I was going to be a singer. I was that child that would serenade the waiting room at the doctors with my version of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. As soon as I was old enough I went to music school to learn the basics of music theory and to explore the different types of instruments I could play, but when I heard the choir singing I knew I wanted to join.
James started playing drums at the age of ten having been bought up on a steady diet of live music thanks to his parents.
Piano, Guitar and Music Theory Tutor
I have been teaching Piano, Guitar and Bass over 12 years from complete beginner to grade 8 and beyond. I am also the main Music Theory Tutor helping students complete the Music Aptitude Test for school entry at age 11.
Tommy has played in many different bands as a session guitarist, performing at Ronnie Scott’s, The Jazz Cafe, The BBC, and many more, as well as recording with chart topping, globally recognised artists and producers.
Drums, Guitar and Music Production
Joe is a multi-instrumentalist and music producer. Originally starting out on Guitar, Joe soon found that he preferred the more rhythmic side of music, moving onto Bass. After a few years of gigs, Joe decided to pick up the Drums and started off getting lessons from Gareth.
From playing around the city of London in underground club gigs with punk rock bands, to dressing head to toe in sequinned outfits playing for private events around the word, Kyle has been performing live since the day he picked up a pair of drum sticks.
My upbringing was surrounded by musical talent; my nan and aunt were Opera singers and my uncle was a professional pianist. This was the perfect situation for any young musician.
Clarinet & Flute
I have over 10 years’ teaching experience in private, mainstream and special needs schools and operate my own private teaching practice. I use my primary teacher training skills to bring the best out of my students, tailoring to suit their needs and encouraging a love of music and performing.
George has been playing gigs with various bands since he was a young teen.
